We place international volunteers whether professional/ students volunteers with our partner ngos across India. We have been receiving our volunteers across Europe, USA and Russia.
Since we work with large local ngo partners, the volunteer can choose from various options to render service in fields such as children, education, teaching, disability, street children, child labourers, child trafficking, HIV/AIDS, Community Based Organisations such as Self Help Groups(SHGs), indigenous communities, youth groups/ parish youth groups, Early childhood education, Women issues, etc. Based on the selection of the field work, we will share the tasks of the volunteers with the particular organisation and prepare him/her for a memorable volunteering with us.Our long working with international volunteers has made us highly experienced, very professional over the years. As an average, we host 35-50 volunteers annually, and as of now, there are 14 volunteers working in 9 partner ngos across India.
NewBeginnings was formed with a coming together of five professional social workers who have been in this field for more than 10 years.

Volunteering and NCT (Hosting Organisation): NewBeginnings has been hosting international volunteers for the last five years. NCT provides volunteering opportunities to international students, professionals and non-professionals and the duration is flexible according to the availability of the volunteers. However, for non-professionals and students volunteers, we request the minimum stay of volunteering period is 2 weeks. And as of now, there are 14 volunteers working in 9 partner ngos across India.
NCT is the primary hosting organisation for the volunteers, but we will be placing the volunteers with our partner ngos projects for volunteering. Every volunteer is followed up by a local mentor and the entire NCT volunteering programme is monitored by NCT Volunteers Programme Team. NCT- volunteer Programme Officer regularly visits the volunteers placed in different partners projects and keep in contact with the local mentor on a daily basis. We are already hosting volunteers from weltwärts - A volunteering project initiated and supported by the Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), Germany.
Our long working with international volunteers has made us highly experienced, very professional over the years. As an average, we host 35-50 volunteers annually and we do look for another 20 or 25 volunteers since we have also added new partner ngos. You can be sure that every partner ngo is screened for their professionalism and safety. We train our partner ngos in professional approach to volunteers and for their safety and privacy. We would be grateful to you, if you could consider partnering with us and be a sending organisation. The project is governed by a set of policies that guides us and the partners in our project approach.

NCT is very much particular about the safety and privacy of the volunteers. The privacy is taken care as important as the safety. Our partners are aware of this specific requirement. The volunteer is guided on the project field and is always in the company of other staff. On arrival, the volunteer goes through a short Orientation period and you can be sure the volunteer is provided with information on culture, NGO management in India, NGOs expectations in India from volunteers, tasks responsibility, etc. The volunteer also is given mid-term orientation and project completion orientation during his/her stay with us. In addition to this, each volunteer is briefed personally about the task and responsibility at the working organization.
