We pay particular attention to children, women, minority groups and vulnerable people.
Our activities involve sustainable social entriprises where unemployed women and youth are giving the opportunity to engage in alternative livelihood activities such as shea butter extraction, baoaba powder processing, beads making, local fabric weaving, basket weaving, soap making, pottery and organic vegetable farming.
Come volunteer in ONE BUURI where you will get the opportunity to teach rural children, work with local women and youth in shea butter extraction, basket weaving, beads making, pottering and many more. You will also learn the rich culture of the people, tour and visit other partner organizations. You will also have a lot of fun while engaging in our youth activities mentoring, dancing, singing, cooking and many more.
Our Core Programs and Activities Include:
1. Sustainable Social Entreprise - we establish unemployed women and youth groups to engage in alternative livelihood activities. This is done through training, workshops and exchange programs. participants are taught basic arethmetics, book keeping, savings, and the stages of product making.
2. Rural child Project - we organize holistic activities for children to enhance their potentials. so me of the activities include creative art, fun games, field trips, music and dance, story telling and cultural interlude. We also recruite, train and delpoy volunteers to teach in rural schools as well as teach childrenwho are not enrolled in schools.
3.Youth Epowerment - we provide capacity building training for the youth and also enagage them in workshops and youth development and exchange programs. we also link them to services and share useful information and opportunities to them.
4. Community project - This involve community lead projects through which we facilitate meetings, dialogues, workshops and durbars for members to actively participate in identifying resources and solutions within thier own space/ community and to utilize all the resources identified to their best interest without compromising future genrations. Through this avenue we emback on mass education to lanch campagns and promote conservation of Nature.
