OVCC has brought great changes to the orphans and vu;lnerable children around the villages through effective teachings and materially support.
Orphans and Vulnerable Children Care (OVCC) is a registered organization which works in suporting and educating orphans and vulnerable children with their caregivers by providing them with school materilas, food, clothes, soap, shoes and hygiene materials and educate them about; Child's Rights, Nutrition, Health, Life Skills and HIV/AIDS prevention.
OVCC has made reserch in 25 villages in Ikungi District and identify the OVC (Orphans and Vulnerable Children), up to now OVCC has catered to 600 orphans and 1200 vulnerable children.
IKungi District is composed of more than 92 villages and in each approximately there are 24 orphans children and 48 vulnerable children. The case of this situation is caused by deaths of the parents by HIV/AIDS, TB, Malaria, accidents, immature pregnancies,etc.
OVCC education also includes to sensitize the villagers on becoming aware in helping OVCs so that they get education for their good future.
OVCC Vision is to make sure that orphans and vulnerable children get equal basic rights like the other children, and with its Mission is to fight against poverty among the OVCs from 85% percent to 50% percent when reaches the year 2018.
OVCC is open to receive volunteers from any country to participate in its projects in Educating the orphans and vulnerable children with their caregivers about "Child's Rights, Nutrition, Health, Life Skills and HIV/AIDS prevention. Volunteers are free stay with OVCC for one to six months.
During visiting the villages,Volunteers would enjoy and experience view of huge rocks of the creation and can arrange to visit one of the National Parks during their departure.
On 27th February 2016, OVCC organization has worked in Tumaini village and support 151 orphans and unprivileged children with clothes, school materials, soap, pens and pencils. Also the children with their caregivers were educated about "Infectious diseases and how to escape them" because these diseases are the cause of orphanage to the children.
On 19th March 2016, the OVCC organization was working at Kinyampembee village by supporting the orphans and unprivileged children with school materials and also educate the caregivers of the children about "The Child's Rights". Real the caregivers and the children were touched by the Lesson and promised to change their behaviour in mistreating the children.
