1 in 4 of us will experience a mental health problem at some point during our lives. At Oxfordshire Mind we firmly believe that everyone who has mental health difficulties should have somewhere to turn to for advice and support. We exist to make that happen.
We do this through raising awareness of mental health issues, making sure that support for mental health in Oxfordshire is easy to find, and by running a range of mental health services, including:
- Courses and workshops to increase understanding of mental health
- Workplace training to support mental health at work
- Support with welfare benefits
- Peer support groups
- Supported housing and accommodation.
We were set up in 1967 as an independent charity to support people in Oxfordshire, but our services are quality assured through National Mind’s standards. We’re part of their network of local Minds, offering support directly to those who need it within our community.
Volunteer
Volunteers are essential to Oxfordshire Mind’s work, enabling us to provide more life-changing services to people with mental health conditions in Oxfordshire. We welcome volunteers from all walks of life. If you need some extra support to get involved, just let us know and we’ll do our best to help.
