This project is an inspiration. It allows local businesses to work within the local community by donating any unwanted or unused food to a local food bank. As a volunteer, you travel around the city of Lisbon collecting this donated food. It is then taken to the processing centre where you help to unpackage it and prepare it. Once the food is ready, you will help to distribute the food to those in need around the city.
This project now feeds over 9,000 homeless people in the city, and can grow with your help. You will join a vibrant team of volunteers from all over the world to help on this mission.
Volunteers live in an eco guest house in the buzzing city of Lisbon. You will be sharing a bedroom with other volunteers, as well as the kitchens, living areas, balconies and patio. It is a lovely place to call home. Three delicious meals are provided each day.
In your free time, you might like to explore everything that Portugal has to offer. Visit Lisbon and Porto, explore the beaches and stunning coastline, go surfing, enjoy the delicious wine and soak up the history and culture.
