Volunteer
Volunteers
Paper Mill Playhouse welcomes and values the contributions of volunteers in many aspects of its work. Different kinds of opportunities are available that are sure to interest people with various time frames, skills, and areas of interest. Some volunteer opportunities are long-term, while others are project based, or short term. Our administrative, development, education, and marketing departments have frequent need of volunteers for various projects as well as for longer-term commitments.

New volunteers will be asked to submit an information form and will be interviewed. All volunteers must be at least 16 years of age. Please note that Paper Mill Playhouse does not use volunteers in its production departments (i.e., stage management, the scene shop, the costume shop, or the stage crew).

Fundraising: Help our fundraising staff with research, record keeping, and solicitation.

Marketing: Assist with mailings, design, and other projects. Help us utilize Twitter, Facebook and other new media to spread the word about our performance schedule and upcoming events. We’d like to share photos, video and other special announcements to members of our social media family.

Lobby Volunteers: We have an ongoing need for lobby volunteers. Paper Mill Playhouse is looking for people with a pleasant public demeanor who enjoy helping and assisting patrons during their time at the theater. Volunteers greet and help seat patrons, hand out programs, direct customers to front of house facilities, such as concessions, box office, art gallery, and the infrared headset rental. Volunteering at Paper Mill Playhouse is a great opportunity to support your local theater, see world-class performances and enhance the experience of patrons at Paper Mill Playhouse.
