Working at PSI
In order to promote student learning that is engaging, relevant and challenging, we employ teachers who specifically match our students, learning programmes and development goals. The school Director and Principals appoint expatriate teachers from recognised international recruitment organisations that rigorously screen the background and experience of candidates.
This process ensures that our teachers and staff are certified, experienced and committed professionals. In fact, all PSI teachers hold at least a Bachelor's Degree, with 64% holding advanced degrees, ranging from Masters to PhDs from a range of universities in North America, Europe and Australasia.
Our national teaching staff are trained graduates and teachers from Ukrainian and American universities. All teaching assistants at PSI are Ukrainian nationals.
We require at least two years of full time classroom experience, teacher certification and a degree in the subject area and / or grade level for which one is applying. A near native level of English is also essential.
Working at PSI involves our commitment to your ongoing professional learning. We provide workshop opportunities and run a wide range of training events throughout the year for all staff to update their skills and promote the best international school practices. Our commitment to the IB is maintained by ensuring that both experienced IB teachers and those new to the programmes are appropriately trained and certified through IB conferences, workshops and online courses.
Our staff enjoy working in a supportive learning environment with strong, positive connections between administration, staff, students and parents. PSI offers a competitive salary and benefits package. We appreciate professionals who are enthusiastic, model the IB Learner Profile and have both a sense of adventure and a sense of humour. While IB training and experience are preferred, they are not a prerequisite to employment.
Please note that as a part of our child protection protocols, all applicants for any position, must provide: a criminal record check, the name of at least three professional references, and certified documents appropriate to the position.
