Volunteering
Volunteers are warmly welcomed. Even if you don’t have the special skills required in PNG we can use your help here in Australia.
The PNG foundation has had volunteer health and other professionals from Australia visit Kanabea yearly. Several doctors, nurses and allied health have provided services to the clinic and outposts. Other professionals, including a plumber, painter and carpenter have worked on renovating existing buildings.
We Need
Health Professionals
Doctors, nurses, allied health professionals, especially dietitians. Giving your time for only a few weeks a year makes a tremendous difference to the local community and hospital staff. It also provides a great professional and life experience.
Trades People
Plumbers, painters, carpenters, electricians are badly needed to repair and renovate dilapidated buildings.
Admin and Web Support
There are many opportunities for volunteer work in Australia in the area of administration, marketing and website support.
