The Red Rocks Initiatives for Sustainable Development is a non-profit organization operating in the wider Virunga massif of Rwanda, Uganda, and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
The sustainable tourism initiative was founded in 2013 to respond to the global warming crisis, as well as to utilize environmental conservation and tourism as a sustainable tool for peacebuilding and community development in the region.
The organization not only provides an opportunity for travelers to volunteer abroad in some of the world’s most coveted destinations but also provides invaluable research opportunities for academia.
The purpose of the Red Rocks Initiative is to promote tourism and environmental conservation as the leading sustainable community empowerment tools and uplift foreign exchange earners in our programs area.
