Rainwater is collected for washing and olive wood burned for heating in the winter. Riba Rocks festival offers you the chance to ‘unplug’ from your ‘normal?’ existence and simply enjoy the musical and artistic talent this is showcased here.
We ask our guests to bring their own tents to camp on the land and also advise you bring a torch (as we have absolutely no light pollution here) as well as insect repellant and sun cream! We have a NO FIRE rule in La Vall as there is a high risk of forest fire at this time of year. Dedicated cooking areas will be provided and for you smokers, ashtrays to dispose of those ends!
The event is run on a not for profit basis, all profits will be shared amongst the performers and the local music association. It is simply a reason to get together, meet new people from all over the world and listen to music. We are always looking for new, up and coming solo artists, bands and creatives to get involved as well as volunteers to create something really special. This event will evolve and it will be due to all the hard work and support from people like you…
Riba Rocks focuses on looking after the land by using waterless facilities and recycling as much of the waste produced by the festival as possible. We support Love Your Tent, ‘a new campaign created by Eco Action Partnership and in association with A Greener Festival designed to bond people with their portable homes, and encourage them to re-use instead of discard’.
