SFLIG Volunteers is a grassroots organization located in Ghana that aims to empower and support marginalized individuals in local communities, particularly women and girls. We work to keep girls in school by providing sanitary hygiene products like sanitary towels and underwear during their menstrual periods
. We also educate them on reproductive health to prevent unwanted pregnancies and other related health issues. Additionally, we provide educational support to children from poor homes and startup capital for families to become independent.
Our volunteer and internship placement programs and activities help us achieve these goals. By volunteering with SFLIG Volunteers, you can help educate children from poor backgrounds and improve the lives of single mothers. We welcome passionate individuals from all over the world who want to support a worthy cause through volunteering by using their time and resources for the betterment of humanity. Our volunteers' work ranges from medical, childcare, orphanage work, refugee support, teaching in schools, creative art lessons, skills training, and women empowerment.
We are committed to making volunteering affordable and enjoyable for everyone at the lowest fees possible. Volunteer fees cover airport pickup and drop-off, utilities, accommodation, meals 24/7 in-country support, volunteer t-shirt, certificate/reference letter, and more. 
Volunteers usually stay with a host family or at a volunteer house based on the project location. After volunteering hours, you can learn the local language and culture, and weekends are for touring and traveling around the 16 regions of Ghana to learn about different cultures and traditions.
Our projects are All year Round and volunteers can arrive and start any day as well as depart any day.
Volunteering duration is from two weeks to three months, but on special cases, we allow one-week volunteering. The fees for volunteering are as follows:
- 1 week volunteer: £400
- 2 weeks volunteering: £550
- Any additional week: £80
Age required to volunteer is from16years, we allow group volunteering, couple and family volunteering ( With family volunteering children below 16yrs are allowed)
