As a head chef you would be responsible for preparing breakfasts and afternoon teas of freshly baked cakes. On 6 nights per week, you would prepare a bistro-style 3 course evening meal with vegetarian option and have the chance to mix with our guests every evening and lead a team of up to 3 to 4 other chefs. You must be able to work with a menu plan within budget guidelines, Responsible for kitchen hygiene, ordering and stock control for between 45 and 80 covers.
Our assistant chefs are a vital part of our operation in that they assist the Head chef in their roles. Usually you would be responsible for the afternoon tea, desserts and children’s dinner. Assisting in the hygiene and cleanliness of the kitchen area and assist the chalet person when required. In addition to being an integral part of a busy team you would also gain valuable experience. As with all of our roles you would have the opportunity to work with like-minded people from all walks of life with the additional benefit of meeting new guests each week.
Chalet cooks are an integral part of the ‘chalet experience’. You would be the first point of contact for our guests, preparing breakfasts and afternoon teas of freshly baked cakes. On 6 nights per week you would prepare a dinner party or bistro-style 3 course evening meal with vegetarian option. You must be able to work with a menu plan within budget guidelines. This post can be extremely rewarding and is one our guests truly appreciate. You may be required to assist in the cleaning of the chalet depending on its size. Between 8 and 30 covers.
