Over the next 15 years or so the company grew to offer 36 catered chalets and 12 partner hotels in Europe and North America, offering a range of styles and quality of winter holidays to suit all types of skier and snowboarder.
In 2002, Ski Total was bought by Enigma Travel Group, who had already acquired the family ski specialist Esprit Ski, the previous year, and were looking to expand into the adult market.
From 2003 onwards, Ski Total has focused entirely on quality chalet and Chalet Hotel holidays, with a programme aimed mainly, though not exclusively, at the adult market. The company’s portfolio grew together with its reputation, to feature over 100 chalets and Chalet Hotels, with over 70% of these offering the sought after benefits of either a swimming-pool, sauna, steam-room or hot-tub.
Following the merger with Esprit, the combined programme has grown rapidly and successfully, with the company becoming the largest independently owned ski tour operator in the UK. In 2004 the Enigma group introduced a new programme offering short breaks to Lappland called Santa’s Lapland. Thes new programme allows families to visit Santa in the run-up to Christmas and also enjoy the pleasures of winter activities like reindeer and husky sled rides and snowmobile outings.
