The work is very direct and hands on - saving turtles from being killed, preventing the loss of nests and protecting habitat. You will see immediate results from your work.
You could participate in:
- Patrolling beaches, collecting data and protecting nesting turtles
- Research projects
- Taking visitors on educational walks
- Beach cleaning
- Collecting eggs for removal to the hatchery
- Working in the hatchery
- Releasing hatchlings
- Organising events and educational/outreach activity
- Providing information to visitors
