Our expeditions offer the real traveller time to spend exploring the continent, getting close to the culture and wildlife and visiting an incredible variety of places. Our adventure holidays take us to every country in South America and our well thought out approach to overland travel will give you a unique, personal and most importantly an enjoyable experience for your whole trip.
After many years experience running adventure tours for different companies in South America, we have decided it is time to use our experience, ideas and enthusiasm to form a company offering people the complete South America tour. South America overland is owned and operated by Adam Blay, a former UK and European Coach driver and diesel mechanic with many years experience of running adventure travel tours throughout South America. Adam has combined his overland experience with the needs of past passengers to form a unique style of travel satisfying the needs of those who wish to see beyond the whistle stop and into the very heart of South America.
We believe it is important for you to have time to fully enjoy every unique part of the continent, with time to stop and soak up the atmosphere and cultures as well as enjoying the activities on offer. This is why our trips are longer than most. With so much to see and do, so many wonderful people to meet and who knows what adventures to find, South America is a huge and inspiring continent. There is so much here it can take people months to absorb all that they have experienced, and a lifetime to enjoy the memories and achievements they found along the way.
Our passion is travelling in South America. Our leaders are in love with the continent and will pass on their excitement, enthusiasm and knowledge to you. We offer travellers a varied route taking in all the well known tourist areas, but our greater aim is to explore and seek out our own special places, giving us a unique more sensitive appreciation of the continent, its people and its fauna. Some of our adventures will be unplanned, absolutely unknown, so there is no guarantee what we'll find, which makes it more exciting.
Our journeys are not for everyone, especially the faint hearted, if you want a protected, hand-held, standard trip, we suggest you look elsewhere. Otherwise come with us to get the most from your visit to this rich and varied land. You'll need to be willing and able to join in with the running of the expedition. Everyones help and effort will be required to get us to some of the most remote places, and we'll need to work together to make sure we have the best time possible. There are some incredible challenges and discoveries out there, but you'll have to want to find them, they don't all come handed to you on a plate!
