We offer a longer basic education and several short courses within specific areas of use and offer a dedicated education which focuses entirely on practical filmmaking.
As the Stockholm Film School is run by an non-profit association, it is the association members that shape the school and the education.
We are proud of the student influence and our students have representatives on the board meetings. Together with the association and the students we develop the school we want to have today and in the future.
Stockholm Film School has a long experience of professional filmmaking and teaching. Our model is to attach great importance to storytelling within all disciplines, and that our students get a good education in script writing, directing, cinematography, editing, sound and production.
We are proud of all our students, many of whom work successfully both in Sweden and internationally, and we are confident that our model has an important part in this!

…our students to be able to work with film production, and that they have the necessary foundations to apply to a higher education, such as the Stockholm University of the Arts, Faculty of Fine Applied and Performing Arts at the Gothenburg University, or other similar higher education abroad.
WE WANT
…our students to get an understanding of the film industry and acquire contacts therein through regular lectures and scheduled internships with established companies and institutions. The students should also have an understanding of the different elements of filmmaking, which makes the student an attractive coworker for production companies and industry associations.
