Our TEFL courses offer an international certificate from Via Lingua, a well-recognized international certifying body, as well as the quality and external validation that having this certification guarantees. It also means our students can have access to the international Via Lingua network in helping secure reputable work opportunities.

Our courses have a maximum number of 15 students, with several highly qualified trainers, which enable us to give highly personalized attention to each student. We combine professional development as an EFL teacher with personal development in terms of considering teaching as a vocation.

Whilst each course will have a shared, core curriculum, each course will also be unique by taking advantage of the local and national events occurring in our region at the time of the course.

With its first-class facilities and lively, friendly, creative atmosphere, our TEFL courses are based in our language school, Instituto Cambridge. This enables us to offer our students excellent opportunities for teaching practice, with adults and children of all ages, and easy contact with the teachers employed in the language school.

Our school is embedded in the local community: We offer summer camps for children of all socio-economic groups, give English classes in the local social project “niños de la calle”, provide English teachers to local schools, and are the founders of a yearly ecological rally, designed to promote environmental education and awareness.

Ciudad Guzmán is a perfect location to experience Mexico. It is ideally located, being midway between the attractive large city of Guadalajara -with its first-class, international airport- and the beautiful, still largely undeveloped, Pacific coast. This means that the city is a perfect hub from which one can visit many wonderful and varied destinations, all within less than one and a half hours away.

In Ciudad Guzmán, our students can enjoy all the benefits of city-life. There is an infrastructure of good transport links all over Mexico, as well as great restaurants, cafes, nightclubs and discos, and lively student life in the city. In addition, there is direct walking access to the Sierra del Tigre and the National Park of the Volcano of the Nevado is nearby. You can enjoy an array of opportunities for outdoor activities that these and the surrounding region offer.
