What qualifications does a t4 Nanny have?
- A formal childcare qualification and/or minimum 2 year’s experience in childcare.
- First aid trained
- DBS (CRB) police check
- French language skills a bonus but not essential
- 2 written references
- t4 locations are Val d’Isere, Tignes, La Tania and La Plagne.
- Contract runs from the 12th December 2019- 30th April 2020.
- 48 hours per week, if overtime is required then extra is paid.
- Working hours are 8 consecutive hours anywhere between 8.30am to 8.00pm for 6 days per week.
- Sole care of children aged between 4 months to 12 years old.
- Responsible for everything concerning the children (tidying toys and clearing up any mess made during the day)
- Ratios are maximum 2 children under 2 years old, or maximum 4 children over 2 years old.
- The service is carried out in the Client’s chalet, hotel or apartment.
- Each family books either 6 full days (8 hours per day) or 6 half days (4 hours either morning or afternoon)
- The children must be entertained with at least 1 indoor art and craft activity and 1 outdoor activity (sledging, cable car ride) per day.
- Evening babysitting must be offered to the family for at least 1 evening. Extra is paid to the nanny for this service.
- Majority of families are British.
Example Day
An Example Day for a t4 Nanny The nanny is in charge of 1 girl aged 5 years old and 1 boy aged 3 years old.
- 8.30 arrive at chalet, get children in ski gear ready for ski school.
- 8.50 leave the chalet with both children to take the girl to ski school for 9am.
- 9.15 meet up with another nanny and take the boy to the farm.
- 10.30 go to a café for a drink and a snack.
- 11.30 walk back to the ski school to pick up the girl.
- 12.00 all walk back to the chalet together.
- 12.15 prepare lunch for the children.
- 12.30 eat lunch together in the chalet.
- 1.30 after tidying up do an indoor activity.
- 3.00 get children into outdoor clothing.
- 3.30 take a cable car ride.
- 4.15 meet the parents in a café to leave the children there.
- 4.30 end of the day.
