About the Position

The Rodillian Multi Academy Trust has a reputation for high expectations for all, an innovative curriculum and excellent staff/student relationships. 

The trip commences around the 17 May 2018 and runs until around 24 July 2018. As one of the main designated minibus drivers’ you will drive the mini bus and equipment from the Rodillian Academy in Wakefield to Vallon in France. You will also be one of the main minibus drivers during the 9 week stay, transporting both staff and students to and from a range of activities and locations in the area.  Although staff will be responsible for students at all times, you will be expected to behave in a professional manner and act as an adult role model to students at all times.

Please note that the exemption which allows you to drive a minibus in the UK on your car licence, whether you passed your driving test before or after January 1997, does not allow you to drive a minibus in other EU countries. Candidates must have current D1 entitlement on your licence, gained by passing a D1 driving test. You cannot drive a minibus abroad if you only have an ordinary ‘B’ car driving licence.

You will also be expected to be organised, drive in a safe and professional manner, follow UK and European driving rules and regulations and ensure the EU driving card is in place at all times.

In return you will be provided with camping accommodation (individual tent & air bed), 3 meals per day at no additional cost and when driving periods are not required, you will have free time to relax in your own private space.
