Itinerary

Day 1: Athens
Welcome to Greece! We meet at 7pm in the lobby for a fast and informal meeting where you will be given some country information and explained how the week is going to unfold. There is an optional group dinner tonight to get to know the rest of the group.

Day 2: Athens
Athens is the capital and largest city of Greece; it is one of the world’s oldest cities with history spanning back over 3,400 years and is widely referred to as the cradle of Western Civilization and the birthplace of democracy. The cultural and historical heritage is still evident in the city today and represented by all of the ancient monuments and works of art. Our tour will take you to many of these sites, including the National Library, the Academy, The Constitution Square and Parliament, the Temple of Zeus, Parthenon and Acropolis to name a few. The night is yours free to explore more of this incredible city.

Day 3: Athens,Mykonos
We make an early start as we catch the ferry from Athens to Mykonos. In the afternoon, after meeting with your tour leader and other travellers, you will have an info meeting. Later there will be a brief orientation walk, where you will be given some tips to explore the rest of the island on your own. It is no coincidence that this is the most cosmopolitan of all the Greek Islands and attracts thousands of visitors from around the world.

Day 4: Mykonos
You have a free day in Mykonos. Mykonos Town (Chora) is the picturesque Greek island, with the fishing boats bobbing side by side with the luxury boats, the whitewashed streets, beaches, restaurants and bars; you will not be short of things to explore.

Day 5: Mykonos, Santorini
Departing from Mykonos with a ferry and heading for Santorini. Relax at one of the red or black sand volcanic beaches.

Day 6: Santorini
Today we have free time to explore the Island. Santorini has a number of gorgeous beaches, of every different colour – black beach, red beach, white beach, Vlichada (nude beach)… and it is known to have some of the most beautiful sunsets in the world; sip on a cocktail while watching Mother Nature’s artistic talent displayed across the sky! Today optional Volcana trip is also available.

Day 7: Santorini, Athens , Istanbul ( By Flight )
Today we will take a ferry from Santorini to Athens and fly to Istanbul from there. Once we land, keep your eyes open for the Travel Talk sign, as we pick you up from the airport and take you to our Istanbul hotel, it’s free evening in the magnificent city of Istanbul aka Constantinopolis.

Day 8: Istanbul
We gather round in the hotel lobby at 6:30pm as we meet both the other tour members and the guide. Listen up for a fast and informal meeting with the leader including registration and a short brief about the adventures ahead and some country info.

Day 9: Istanbul
After breakfast we begin to experience the magnificence of Istanbul. We stroll through the old town visiting Blue Mosque, Hippodrome, majestic Topkapi Palace and the Hagia Sophia Museum.

Day 10: Istanbul, Gallipoli
Today we depart Istanbul for the shores of Gallipoli. We visit all the important memorial sites in the region including the Kabatepe War Museum, Anzac Cove, Chunuk Bair and Lone Pine.

Day 11: Gallipoli, Troy, Pergamum, Kusadası
After breakfast we head to the ancient city of Troy, the setting of Homer's epic, Iliad, involving a giant wooden horse. We then continue to Pergamum, and the remains of the Asklepion. In the evening we arrive in Kusadasi.

Day 12: Kusadası
Our trip will end after we say goodbye to our new friends over breakfast, bid you safe travels, and check-out of the hotel (11:00am).
