Itinerary
Day 1: St.Petersburg
At the terminal keep your eyes open for the Travel Talk sign, as we pick you up from the airport and take you to our hotel. Gather round in the hotel lobby at 6:00pm to meet your guide as well as the other tour members. Listen up for a fast and informal meeting with the leader including registration, a short briefing about the adventures ahead and some country info. After the meeting, join the group for a walk and partake in an optional group dinner. Your tour leader can also recommend some local bars for you to try out and enjoy a drink with your new travel buddies during the evening until late.
Day 2: St. Petersburg - City tour incl. the Hermitage
The amazing city of Saint Petersburg was founded by Tsar Peter the Great in 1703 and was previously Russia’s capital. The city is built around a series of bridge-connected canals and rivers and our day starts with the city tour includes a drive along the main street, Nevsky Prospect, giving us a solid introduction to this beautiful city and a few stops at Church on Spilled Blood (exterior only)Then we have guided visit of the treasure-filled Hermitage Museum.
Day 3: St. Petersburg (opt. Tsars Route tour)
Today you have a free day to explore this magnificent city on your own! There is an optional Tsars' Route tour including lunch available, with visits to Peterhof Garden and Catherine Palace during the summer months (May to October) or Pavlosk Palace and Catherine Palace in winter months (October to May). Later this evening we board our overnight sleeper train bound for Moscow. Overnight train in a sleeping cabin accommodation.
Day 4: Moscow City Tour, Red Square
Today we tour Russia’s most famous Kremlin, with a guided walk throughout the grounds for you to see numerous government buildings, gold-domed cathedrals and the tsar bell. This walk will also visit the stunning St Basil’s cathedral and walk down Arbat street; one of the oldest surviving streets of the capital and a desirable place to live.
Day 5: Moscow, Kremlin Palace, St Basil's, Arbat Street
A fantastic day is awaiting us to explore the city of Moscow. We will take you on a guided walk of Moscow’s heart including amazing Red Square. The city offers amazing galleries and museums and plenty of cafes, shops and bars. After the city tour you have the option to join the tour to the World War II Museum. The rest of the afternoon and evening is yours. You will have chance to join optional tour of famous Moscow Circus as well.
Day 6: Moscow
Our trip will end after we say goodbye to our new friends over breakfast, bid you safe travels, and check-out of the hotel (11:00am)
