We work with communities to improve livelihoods and restore degraded lands for sustainable productivity through planting beneficial trees that supply fuel wood, animal fodder, fruits andgreen fertilizer.
Trees for the future Uganda encourages the organic farming through hamlet establishment and planting of Agroforestry trees for sustainable land use and better conservation practices.
Trees for the future was founded in 2007 when the country begun to witness prolonged droughts and erratic climate patterns. The founders did an onsite assessment that attributed these unusual weather patterns to the rapid forest degradation. In a bid to mitigate this, the founders realized the need to engage communities directly in tree planting for conservationwhile taking care of their current needs; fuel, fodder, herbs, construction materials, amongothers.
