Are you the kind of person who loves animals? Why not volunteer to take the time to participate in a project aimed at providing a safe haven for orphaned, injured and sick animals?
In the beautiful state of Goa, there are a large number of cattle roaming freely on the streets. As a result, many of these animals are involved in life threatening road accidents. Taking on a role in maintaining the animal rehabilitation rescue centre, you will make a difference to the cattle, goats, dogs and cats that are treated there. Those animals injured by road traffic incidents are brought to the centre where they receive necessary treatment, such as operations or medications, to stabilise their condition. Your work will provide the animals with a safe place to recuperate until they are re-homed.
While at the project, your role will involve carrying out all tasks at the rescue centre as the need arises. This could include maintaining the premises, taking care of the injured animals, assisting the local veterinarian and visiting the beach to feed the dogs during Monsoon season.
