On this program you will be spending time working as a volunteer at local care homes for children aged between 4 years to 16 years. You will conduct various activities such as English Speaking. As most of the children have to attend local school, during term time you will work in local school and then the orphange in the evening.
The activities volunteers can do include:
- Helping in competing their home-work
- Helping the staff in changing the clothes of infants and very young children
- Playing games with them for developing their mind
- Helping the local staff in daily operations like record maintain, food preparation etc.
- Helping the children in having meals during lunch
- Art sessions
- Sports sessions
- Photography
- Media classes
On the weekends you will be visiting either the backwaters or tea plantations or a local beach.
