Whether you’ve got a green thumb or just getting started as a Farmer, our Permaculture Course has everything you need for an eye-opening educational experience. Come find adventure in the mountain ranges of Nepal and learn real-world farming and restoration work techniques to help grow crops in tough environments!
The 3 Week Permaculture Course takes place in Nepal’s awe-inspiring Royal Beach Camp that hosts a variety of entertaining activities like rafting, kayaking and canyoneering. It’s far more than a regular vacation: as you learn about Permaculture Techniques and thriving in harsh climates, you’ll also be developing your teambuilding, leadership, and critical thinking skills!
Week 1 of the Permaculture Course takes you through an introduction to the group leader and your team members before entertaining team building games and a rafting, kayaking, or canyoneering experience. You’ll also get an engaging opportunity to work on a Tree Plantation to learn about Sustainability while helping both the local ecosystem and compensating for your air travel and transportation in Nepal!
The Second Week gets down and dirty with farming, restoration work, and developing your final project for presentation to the group at the end of the course. You’ll visit with the local farmers who grow organically, learning and sharing knowledge with others and truly experiencing the Nepalese Way of Life along the slopes of breathtaking Mountain Ranges!
As you prepare your final project during Week 3 of the Permaculture Course, you’ll be diving further into your farming and restoration work.
The daily schedule typically includes morning yoga and stretching to prepare your body for the hard work during the days, plenty of time to work on your project, enjoy team activities, group meetings to prepare or debrief, along with time to relax and talk about the experiences of the day as a group.
Day 19 of the Permaculture Course is Presentation Day followed a by a celebratory BBQ on the Beach with your group! The next day, enjoy a shopping trip to Kathmandu and personal time for sightseeing before departing the next day.
The Permaculture Course is stocked with activities that will educate you and help you grow as a person as you learn to grow crops in challenging climates! Challenge yourself and step out of your comfort zone to become an expert farmer with a life-changing experience under your belt!

Itinerary
Week 1 – Focus: Introduction & Sustainability

Day 1 – Arrival to Kathmandu. Transfer to The Royal Beach Camp to settle in.

Day 2 – Introduction to your leader, the team, daily schedule and the camp. Introduction to one of our activities: rafting, kayaking or canyoneering.

Day 3 – Daily schedule starts*. Introduction to some of our team building games and join another one of our activities.

Day 4 – Training hike to local peak (2100 m) and sustainability workshop.

Day 5 – Sustainability work through tree plantation the participant is both helping to restore and protect local ecosystems but also compensating for their air travel and transportation in Nepal.

Day 6 – Introduction to Focus Project**. Group talk to set the plan for farming, restoration work and development project the coming two weeks.

Day 7 – Rest day.
Week 2 – Focus: Farming, Learn & Share Knowledge

Day 19 – Present your development project to the team. Feedback session and time for packing. Let’s celebrate your time with us over a campfire BBQ on the beach!

Day 20 – Travel to Kathmandu. Personal time for shopping or short sightseeing.
