Become a Certified Game Ranger and Experience the South African Wildlife firsthand! This 55 Day Ranger Course Training Academy is the perfect blend of professional excellence and exotic wildlife experiences.
Just 85 kilometers from Port Elizabeth, South Africa, the reserve has the two most important things to prospective rangers: FGASA Accreditation (One of the foremost authorities in wildlife reserve management) and the Big 5 (Lions, Leopards, Elephant, and Cape Buffalo).
Learn from Professional Game Rangers and stay on the reserve under the mentorship of an expert 15 years in his field. The reserve staff designed the syllabus to be in FGASA regulations, which includes:

The course layout includes a mix of both lecture and practical experience - both excursions to witness the wildlife and volunteer type activities to help the reserve continue its great work.

Upon completion of the course and passing of the assessments, students will receive FGASA Qualification and be Certified Game Rangers!
Itinerary
Week 1: Arrival, Orientation And Practical Exposure

Monday - Airport pickup from Port Elizabeth Airport (departs PE at 4pm).

Game Drives, Course Outlines and Other Activities.

Course Hours: 8am – 4pm.
Week 2: Class Room And Field-Based Lectures

Class and field lectures start with the majority still practical experience.

Course Hours: 8am – 4pm.
Week 3: Lectures And Field Study

Lectures continues with theory and practical experience split 50/50.

Includes some self-study of the modules so that the participants are prepared for the following lectures.
