Best Area to Stay in Madrid
You could stay at a hostel near a transport hub like a train station or bus terminal, or in the city centre to be close to the main attractions. If you want to be close to nightlife recommend areas of Marid to stay include Malasana, Chueca and Las Huertas. For city centre look for hostels in/close to places like Plaza Mayor, Puerta del Sol and Retiro Park. If you book a hostel further out of the city centre this will be cheaper, try places like Gran Via, Fuencarral and Goya.
