There are so many amazing reasons why you should volunteer abroad in Cyrpus. Possibly you might not have ever thought about this idea before but it is a great way to do something unique and a lot more rewarding than just sunbathing. This is the chance to do something rewarding, meet and work with locals and make a difference.
This will be so much better than just staying in a resort and you will get amazing memories and also the satisfaction of doing something rewarding. How You Can Help
You could apply to volunteer at a an animal sanctuary in Cyprus, this is a great way to help wildlife like dogs and donkeys which have been neglected or used in the tourist industry. Volunteers are needed all year round but you can also visit and we also recommend making a donation to keep sanctuaries running. Sea turtles often visit Cyprus and are found in the nearby ocean - marine projects aim to help these creatures through research and education/awareness with local fishermen.

There are also lots of environmental and conservation projects where you can take part in beach cleans and other initiatives. Some local charities also run projects help elderly and disadvantaged members of the community. What to Think about Before Applying
These projects are not for everyone, if you just want a photo opportunity or are not prepared to work in teams and listen for advice then you might be best just booking a normal holiday to Cyprus.
